The Pauper's Castle

The Pauper's Castle is known for taking the old and making it new again. Sometimes it's as simple as a new finish, but sometimes it simply thinking outside the box. Reclaimed Vintage items re-purposed for a modern lifestyle. Located in Westfield, IN. North of Indianapolis, IN off of Hwy 31 and Hwy 32. The Pauper's Castle proudly offers Steve's handcrafted furniture. 


French Country Desk Chair.  Finished in antique white and lightly distressed.  The fabric is creamy yellow, cornflower blue and white plaid with a finished edge in antique gold cording.  The chair cap is made from the same fabric and cording with rose border made from a salvaged vintage pillow case edge.  Very Sweet Chair!
The Pauper's Castle Children's Boutique
All the charm of yesteryear is present in this precious little dress made from a vintage pillowcase. Delicate hand embroidered cross stitch in bright orange, turquoise, and pink with a touch of lavender.  For a light and airy feel, the dress was left unlined. The neck is detailed with lavender polka dot grosgrain ribbon to add a modern touch . Would make a special gift that can be kept as an heirloom.


This particular dress is one of 2.  As a dress, available in 12-18 months (17 1/4 inches from neck to hem) and 18-24 months (18 1/4 inches from neck to hem).  This style could also be worn by an older child as a cute breezy tank with a skirt, shorts or Capri's.  The length would then determine the size.


Machine or hand wash cold, tumble dry or lay flat, warm iron.

Empire waste with delicate floral embroidery  of  dark rose, pink and corn flower blue borders a scalloped edge. The tiny crocheted lace has a small ribbon of gold woven through it.  Absolutely BEAUTIFUL.  The bodice is a soft pink toile rose pattern with white trim around the sleeves.  For a light and airy feel, the dress was left unlined.  This particular dress is one of a kind and is sized for 18-24 months.
